The course is organized as follows:
Session 1 :Introduction to the seminar, Overview of the world energy situation, Oil economics
Session 2 : Oil economics (part 2), Natural gas economics.Study case part 1.
Session 3 : Electricity economics (part 1). Study case part 2.
Session 4 : Electricity economics (part 2). Study case part 3.
Session 5 : Study case part 4.
Session 6 : Study case part 5.
The course includes online activities, lectures, and case studies, with the main focus being on renewable energy projects, where students will work in groups to complete 5 assignments throughout the seminar?
Compétence à acquérir :
- Understand the fundamentals of energy economics, focusing on how key energy sources (oil, natural gas, coal, and electricity) are supplied, distributed, and used.
- Analyze the economic, financial, and environmental impacts of these energy patterns.
- Study price fluctuations within energy markets.
- Develop the ability to work on renewable energy project investments, specifically through group assignments where students will focus on designing city projects that integrate renewable energy solutions.
- Build a strong foundation in energy market dynamics.
