Description du contenu de l'enseignement :
In line with the principles of the SIGMA alliance, the SIGMA Global Virtual Course:
Digital Transformation examines from various (disciplinary) perspectives how Digital Transformation processes can be implemented responsibly to address economic, societal, and environmental challenges.
Students will be introduced to the topic of datafication and the ambivalence that arises at the intersection of information and human values.
They will be familiarized with theories on empowering individuals and society through the skilled use of digitized processes,
and concepts of service management and ethical business models in the digital economy.

Managing Information and Technology in Responsible Digital Transformation (RST)
Understand the ongoing 4th industrial revolution & post-digital economy.
Apply service management concepts and framework on value creation.
Develop an understanding of fundamental theories and key principles in Management Information Systems.
Develop a critical understanding of the role played by personal data in the digital economy and data-driven business models.
Appreciate the social impacts and social consequences of digital technologies.
Mode de contrôle des connaissances :
1. Online modules - individual work (20%, 24 points, 6 modules, 4 points each)
Each module finishes with a summative assignment in the form of a Multiple-Choice quiz. The quiz results are relevant for grading: one attempt - the passing score is 60% -each quiz counts individually. The quiz results are automatically generated from the platform.
2. Student project - group work (50%, 60 points):
The student project will be assessed by the group supervisor according to rubrics. The rubrics provide information on what the supervisors expect to be done in the student project. The task is assessed per group.
3. Reflection paper – individual work (30%, 36 points):
Students submit a reflexive paper to the lecturer at the home university, who is responsible for grading. This reflective exercise consists in analyzing this virtual experience.
