Description du contenu de l'enseignement :

Class Debates and discussions on selected controversial issues in public health, and the relationship between health, social justice, equity, quality, and access to healthcare. Public Speaking and Class Presentations. Reading and Comprehension of research articles/press from New England Journal of Medicine and The Lancet Articles from UK / US Press Financial Times, The Economist, The Guardian, NY Times. Listening Comprehension through Audio/Video documents
Read articles and demonstrate knowledge of selected controversial issues in public health. Stimulate students to participate in discussions and debates on public health issues and economic issues. Sharpen students’ abilities to think critically and articulate their arguments effectively with peers. Gain communication and public speaking skills through class presentations and role plays. Improve listening comprehension as well as the ability of listening to others.

Compétence à acquérir :

Overall linguistic knowledge. Specialised Vocabulary in the domain of health economics Argumentation and debating skills. Communication skills and self confidence in public speaking
