Course content:
The main purpose of this module is to give tools to students for other math modules ( statistics, optimization, linear algebra, financial math, microeconomics…).Week 1 : Study of functionsWeek 2,3 : Line equationWeek 4,5,6 : Polynomial, logarithm, exponential functionWeek 7,8 : Power functionWeek 9,10,11,12 : Differentiability of function with one or two variables.
Skills to be acquired:
On completion to this module, students will improve their skills to derivate real functions with one variable or two variables.
Mandatory prerequisites
The senior year program in mathematics.
Assessment:
Grading Criteria : Midterm exam and Final Exam 50% each
Weighting : 0.75
