Course content:
Data Analysis, Descriptive, Predictive and Prescriptive Analystics. Locating, finding, constructing, storing, protection, using data for conflict management. Information Systems for Crisis Management. Introduction to GIS. Provide the students with elementary notions about analysing spatial data and using them for insightful decision processes. Show the principal challenge about a responsible and meaningful construction of evidence in cases of conflits and/or crisis management.
Skills to be acquired:
Use of spreadsheets.
Basic notions of Decision Analysis and Measurement.
Notions of spatial analysis and geoprocessing.
Introduction to data sources for humanitarian work.
